A ROMAN MARBLE HEAD OF A YOUTH, CA. 1ST-2ND CENTURY AD

A well-crafted marble bust of a young man from the Roman World. His hair is made up of many finely carved curls. The angle of the head and the shape of the separation at the base of the neck implies that this piece may once have been part of a larger statue.

Ancient Rome - CA. 1st - 2nd Century AD

H: 6 3/4 in., (17.1 cm.)

Condition: Good overall with some minor wear across surface due to age. Sediment deposits throughout.
